RC Weald of Kent and the Mike Collingwood Memorial Fund (MCMF) would like to thank Harvey Taylor for awarding us his Gold Badge for the support given to his participation in the 2023 World Scout Jamboree.
Participants in the World Scout Jamboree from Kent, were given three badges to award to people and organisations that helped them on their fund raising journey. Harvey, generously, gave his award to the Club for the financial support received from the Mike Collingwood Fund.
Ten Kent Scouts were supported by MCMF to participate in the 2023 Jamboree. Eight have, since returning, visited the Club to tell is about their experiences.
The Mike Collingwood Memorial Fund (MCMF) was established in memory of the commitment to young people of the first president of the Rotary Club of the Weald of Kent. He believed strongly in supporting young people in their efforts to broaden their horizons and better themselves both educationally and vocationally.
