It has been a busy week for the NDW committee. With the 2022 results all in, we have been presenting the annual trophies and the main sponsorship cheque. We met Laura Megatli of Cancer Research UK to inspect part of the walk route and presented a cheque for the £13,200 raised by the 2022 walkers.
Each year we award trophies to the individual and the walking group who raise the most in sponsorship. We also have trophies for the most successful school and forces group. The 2022 individual trophy was presented to Anna Makārova. The 1404 (Chatham) Squadron ATC won both the group trophy and the Forces Shield. Oakwood Park Grammar School were presented the schools trophy in recognition of the number of their students who joined us as volunteers.
